A market’s position on the property clock is based around the strength & direction of several key real estate indicators including: sales volumes, price & rent momentum, underlying housing demand, new & existing dwelling supply, employment generation & buying/rental affordability. There are four phases to the Matusik Property Clock:
Recovery
Upswing
Downturn
Stagnation
Below is where I think the capitals and major Queensland regions sit when in comes to detached houses. My experience is that the land market sits in more or less in the same positions as the house market.
